Immensa Technology Labs, a 3D printing company based in Dubai, has 3D printed parts for a Toyota GT86 race car. The vehicle, driven by Mohammed Abdulghaffar Hussain, raced to victory at the Yas Marina Circuit earlier this month.
The winding Yas Marina Circuit, a racetrack that serves as the venue for the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, is no easy drive in the countryside. Sebastian Vettel’s lap record at the circuit has stood since 2009, and McLaren driver Fernando Alonso crashed there last year.
It’s therefore a huge compliment to 3D printing that a Toyota GT86, equipped with 3D printed components and driven by Mohammed Abdulghaffar Hussain, sped to victory at the Yas Marina Circuit in the TRD 86 Cup last month.
In what was a first for the UAE, 3D printing company Immensa Technology Labs provided 3D printed parts for the Toyota, doing its bit to support the Dubai 3D Printing Strategy while improving the performance of the vehicle.

Driver Hussain, an amateur race car driver, is also managing director of Green Coast Enterprises and CEO of Creek Capital, and drove to victory with the modified Toyota. He said he was pleased to have been part of the milestone moment, adding that 3D printing provided the group with “a great turnaround time for parts that we were not able to source locally and others that were produced to a much higher quality than the original parts.”
Immensa Technology Labs was founded in 2016.
