A Japanese inventor who goes by the alias ‘Human Controller’ has created an amazing 3D-printed self-solving Rubik’s cube.
Unfortunately the inventor doesn’t provide much detail on this build other than pictures. The self-solving cube needs no assistance. It is just so adorable to watch how it moves on the desk as it solves itself. As revealed in the demonstration video below, it has a custom 3D-printed core attached to servo motors that are programmed to solve the cube.
The self-solving Rubik’s Cube is a project that’s been years in the making. a video posted 18 months ago reveals that an older version of the self-solving cube is much larger than the current one. It was very challenging to find a way to squeeze the 3D printed parts, all of the electronics, motors, wiring, and batteries into a tiny space. The sphere houses six motors and gear trains, along with an Arduino board to to twist and rotate to facilitate the actual solving. The results are impressive.

Great work. I’m not sure why the solution is not using fewest moves but using CFOP instead... still very impressive! Would love to have more info about it or get involved with such an excellent project!
