Industrial designer Chan Lee has developed 'ZENOS' 3D printed prosthetic arm for mountain bike riding and cycling.

The 'ZENOS' 3D printed prosthetic arm is developed to encourage amputees towards a more active lifestyle, such as mountain biking and cycling, and to challenge their limits. It delivers exceptional performance and agility for avid cyclists to keep them supported at all times when riding.

Current prosthesis designed for mountain biking and cycling are mostly expensive and difficult to set up. Lee has therefore developed ‘ZENOS’ as an open sourced 3D printable prosthetic arm, that users or designers can download anywhere for free. The 3D printable prosthetics is easily assembled and doesn't require any complicated setup to be attached onto handlebars.

ZENOS is fitted with an easy-lock and quick-release system and an easily-adjustable shock-absorbing elbow. The new locking mechanism with hook provides easy way to grab and release handle bar by changing the pivot point of the hook. The elbow comes with a custom-tuned bike shock which is able to effectively minimize the impact on the shoulder. An angle of elbow can be adjusted to the most ideal and comfortable position by one hand with quick release clamp.
