If you live in Melbourne or happen to travel there this period, it is worth to visit Melbourne's GPO. Melbourne's GPO stands for The Melbourne General Post Office (also known GPO), is a former post office in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. It is located on the corner of Elizabeth Street and Bourke Street in the heart of the Melbourne CBD.

Designer Amelia Agosta's 2011 RMIT graduate collection ‘Engineered Distortion’ is currently presented in GPO. The show will be ended until mid November.

What is worth to visit there is the sculptural garments which have been printed by 3D body scanning applications and 3D printing. They were developed in collaboration between Amelia Agosta, Natasha Fagg, Joseph Rocca and rapid prototyping company 3D Systems. Looks like fashion industry has also explored the nature of 3d printing and started creating some very beautiful stuff.

Agosta's work is displayed on the Level One balcony of Melbourne's GPO. Anyone who visits there is welcome to send us some photos of the show.

3D printing is a showstopper and it's exciting to see designers incorporate innovative uses of emerging technologies into their work. Amelia Agosta's creation is an indicator that the runway is a great forum for 3D printed fashions. It will be exciting to see innovative uses of additive technologies at the 3D Printing Fashion Show at RAPID 2012 in Atlanta this year!
