On Feb.9, 2012, Objet Asia Pacific Ltd., a subsidiary of Objet Ltd., announced Objet has appointed Objective 3D Pty Ltd as the new distributor in Australia and New Zealand, aiming to double its market share in the next three years.
Objet's products target the rapid prototyping market. Winnie Chu, regional sales director for Asia Pacific, said that Objet has had a worldwide accumulated growth rate of over 30 percent since 2004, with an even faster rate of growth in the Asian region. "At the moment we estimate Australia is a market of around 60~80 units a year, but we see that this is definitely going to grow. The way I look at Australia is: It's a very mature market. In a way it's very similar to Europe and the US in terms of the technological know-how… But also being in Asia it can benefit from the growth in general."
Today, Feb.14, 2012, Objet announced it has signed a distribution agreement with Digital China, the largest channel distributors in China in various industries. The cooperation with the SBU 3D Products Division of Digital China could increase the application and popularization of the Objet technologies and solutions in the manufacturing industry in the country.
Digital China is appointed to be the new distributor in Great Northern region of China. Back in 2007, Digital China has entered the 3D design and manufacturing field and within 5 years it has become the largest supplier of rapid prototyping equipment. It has established a sales and service system and channel, and has had more than 200 customers.
Wang Xianggen, general manager of Objet China said, "We are very honored to be able to have Digital China as our distributor in Great North Region in China. Digital China has a strong sales network and excellent service team. With its rich resources and experience in the 3D industry, we are confident that the cooperation between the two companies will be able to promote the development of the Objet three-dimensional rapid prototyping technologies and applications in a broader field.
