This good looking machine is a recent innovation from British inventor Sean (Clanzer). This is a CNCDudez RouterStrap 3D printer built on one of his CNC frame.

He has managed to get the prototype printer working and the result is surprisingly good.

He used the latest Marlin Firmware, tweaked it to suit the dedicated steppers because of it's short pulse width when using external steppers. Besides he also made a Sanguino breakout PCB based on the Sanguino design.

Video below shows rapid moves of 550mm/s and printing at 200mm/s. "Usually you would not print this fast, but wanted to test it and see how much I could push it. I expected the quaility to be a bit rough at these speeds, but was nicely surprised!" - Clanzer
