Lothar Hohmann, Managing Director of Precise, announced worldwide launch of company's latest innovative product, TIM on Wednesday in its TIM Studio in Al Barsha, Dubai.
TIM is an acronym for This Is Me, it is a scaled lifelike 3D model of an individual at roughly 10% of the person's original height, produced using a 360 degrees full colour 3D scanner and a 3D printer.
"We have invested over Dhs1m(USD272,000) since late 2011 to realise this dream, and Precise is delighted to finally unveil the next step in immortalising personal memories," said Lothar Hohmann.
Using the currently innovative 3D scanning and printing technology, Tim will be a powerful tool to capture people's precise moment to develop a fully realized likeness. It can be yourself dressing up in costume, your daughter in her wedding, or your son in sports, all nice moments can be captured and printed out.
TIM can be ordered by visiting any of the Precise retail locations at Mall of the Emirates, Deira City Centre, Atlantis or Dubai Duty Free. In TIM Studio the scanning process takes roughly 15-20 minutes. Your TIM will then be ready in a week. Currently Tim is available only in the UAE. But Hohmann said his company was ready to ship its products worldwide.
Precise Trading LLC was established in the UAE in 2002 providing sub surface laser etching of high quality crystals. The company produces laser engraved 2D and 3D portraits, trophies, awards, corporate gifts and mementos made of high-quality optical crystal.
Precise has a team of 100 people in sales, marketing, design and manufacturing and currently operate 4 retail outlets in Dubai and have retail outlets with strategic partners in Iraq, Russia, Saudi Arabia, Nigeria and Norway.
