During exhibition "The Future in the Making" in Milan design week 2012, spanish architect josé ramon tramoyeres of GGlab (green geometries laboratory) and deniz manisali showed to the audience how 3D printing could change gastronomy and haute cuisine. They worked with paco morales, a famous spanish chef who was testing this new food design out of 3D printer.

The architects are working on a research that how many possibilities are there of having a Makerbot (RepRap type of DIY 3D printer) in kitchen to produce new forms of food, use new flavors instead of the traditional way of cooking. With a 3D printer we have more control over form, design and taste, and josé ramon tramoyeres expects that in the future we can print the recipes at home, or "restaurants scan visitors' taste-buds, allowing custom food to be made especially for the customer's taste palette."
