On October 19~21, 2012, the world's first trade and consumer 3D Print Show will be hosted in London. The event will show the latest innovations in 3D printing and all of its applications in the art & design, transportation, home, consumer products, medical & dental, architecture, fashion, archaeology, music and consumer products.
Across all three days, there will be live demonstrations, seminars, selected workshops and exclusive events featuring some of the most amazing new 3D fashion, from clothes to shoes, swimwear to hats; as well as unique design pieces.
The company has signed up MakerBot, i.materialise, Econolyst and Anarkik 3D to exhibit and MakerBot will host their very own exhibition room.
A glimpse of schedule:
- Day 1(Fri): Day one is trade day and will bring together exhibitors, trade and press. The day will be packed with workshops, demonstrations and a VIP live show in the evening.
- Day 2~3(Sat~Sun): It is expected to attract 3,500 public visitors.
Some features of the show:
- Live show: Featuring some of the most amazing new 3D fashion, from clothes to shoes, swimwear to hats.
- Live music: Played by world-class musicians on 3D printed instruments.
- Live 3D visuals: Incredible visual 3D created and displayed around the walls of the room.
- Seminars and workshops: Include high-level industry roundtables, educational workshops and design workshops
- Gallery: The selected works come from a range of disciplines including sculpture, jewelry design, animation and interactive art realized through 3D printing. Contributing artists include: Eva Poulopoulou, Rachel Harding and Max Klaentschi, Tobias Krawutschke, Andreia Chaves,Jordan Hodgson/ House of Jonn and Lynne MacLachlan.
- Jeweller Silvia Weidenbach and Architect Tobias Klein will be showcasing a new range of collaborative works, exclusive to this event.
Details of the line-up will be available from June 1st and tickets will go on sale on July 1st.
