After Solidoodle's announcement of opening 3D printing stores in Russia, Ukraine, Kazakhstan and Belarus, a UK company, iMakr announced this morning that it will open world's largest 3D printing store in central London in April 2013.

The new store is located in Farringdon, the heart of the designer district of London and near to Silicon Roundabout. With a floor area of 2500 sq-ft (232 sqm) spread over two levels, it will showcase a large range of personal 3D Printers as well as 3D Scanners, 3D-printed products, supplies and accessories. According to the announcement, the iMakr store will also host regular events, stage demonstrations and workshops for those curious about this revolutionary technology.

Sylvain Preumont, founder and CEO of iMakr, founded iMakr.VC in 2012 providing seed capital and support in promising projects operating in the 3D Printing and 3D Scanning sectors. "3D printing is all about physical machines making physical things. People need a physical store to see, touch, feel and engage with the technology. That's what the iMakr store is all about." said Preumont.
