iMakr, billed as the world's largest 3D printing store, will launch its grand opening in two weeks. iMakr aims at becoming the Flag Ship for the Maker Community in the UK and will have a two-story, 2500 square-foot 3D printing retail store in Farringdon in Central London.

The new iMakr store will definitely be filled with 3D Printers and 3D scanners. iMakr announced today that the Cube, CubeX and CubeX Trio 3D printers will appear on iMakr's shelves.

"iMakr aims at bringing the best in 3D printing to consumers, both online and offline, in its one-of-a-kind London store" says Sylvain Preumont, iMakr founder and CEO. "We're glad that Cubify and 3D Systems, the world leader in 3D printing, support our initiative."

Rajeev Kulkarni, General Manager of Consumer Solutions at 3D Systems stated that "We are pleased to welcome iMakr as a new partner in the sales and support of our consumer solutions. The iMakr store is an exciting initiative and we wish them tremendous success."

Which other brands will be listed in the store? Makerbot, Ultimaker or PP3DP? We would expect more news will be announced in the coming days. The grand opening will be at 18.30 on April 30th. So far 300 meet up members are confirmed to attend and 27 are on a waiting list.

iMakr Store is both a showroom and a store. It will expose and resell following items for consumers and small businesses:

  • 3D Printers: the main manufacturers from Europe, US and Asia;
  • 3D Scanners: from open source to professional solutions;
  • 3D Printed Objects: by talented individuals & world class artists and fashion designers;
  • 3D Printing Filaments and Accessories;
  • 3D Service Bureaus;
  • 3D Startups;
  • 3D Softwares.

iMakr is currently hiring sales and operators who can help with setup, testing and assessing all the 3D printers from manufacturers. If you are in the greater London area, maybe it is a good chance to become a real 3D Printers guru for testing all new 3D printers.

iMakr website is inviting suppliers of 3D printers, 3D scanners, filament, 3D objects and accessories to apply to be the iMakr partners. If you are interested, head over to iMakr's home page.
