Melbourne, Australia based family owned start-up Additer has just announced the launch of their website additer.com, a marketplace for digital manufacturing services.

Founded by Paul, Carmen and Noah, Additer basically allows individuals and companies to search for local makers, designers and consultants and post projects on a project bidding platform.

Projects can be small 3D print or fab jobs, 3D design, CNC, laser cutting, 3D scanning, programming, education based projects or consulting, or rapid prototyping for research and industry.

Registration, posting a project and bidding for projects are free and project budgets can range from zero to 'infinity'. Here is an example of a project page:

Additer charges 8% (or max. U$ 80) of the final bid, to the winner (maker) of a project. However, projects for education, research and not-for-profit organizations are exempt from this fee.

By making use of this project bidding platform Additer hopes to connect makers with buyers and decrease transaction costs associated with matching demand and supply on the market for digital manufacturing ideas and projects.
