Inspired by Jason Casteel's TARDIS Prime artwork, Thingiverse member Andrew Lindsey made his own 3D printed Tardis Transformer toy. "I saw the shirt, and had to work out how to make it actually physically work." writes Andrew. It is a toy that you can transform it from a phone booth to a robot and vice-versa.
The parts were printed in PLA on Andrew's Delta style printer. This print can be assembled without glue. But Andrew says he is not completely happy with the way it turned out. For one thing, the toy needs large number of parts - over 70 individual parts.
Tardis mode is about 6 3/4" tall and 3 3/4" wide. In robot mode it is much larger - it stands almost 13" tall. Also it can't stand on its own because it is too large and top-heavy. Andrew is thinking of redesigning the entire toy at a smaller scale, to be easier to print and more functional as a display figure.
But you can just download the .stl files to print and assemble your own Tardis Transformer toy. You can find the downloadable files and instructions here from Andrew's Thingiverse page.

Nice! But redesign the toy to make it smaller? Don't people have a scale function?
