Now you can enhance your wardrobe with 3D printed shoes. Designer Janne Kyttanen has created a range of CubeX shoes that can be downloaded and 3D printed overnight at home. Currently design files for four different styles are available for download: Macedonia, Leaf, Facet and Classic.
"I don't know what it is with women and shoes, but I like it," Kyttanen said. "I would like it even better if my girlfriend could wear a different pair every single day. Today, this is a reality. Women can print this first collection of shoes overnight and wake up every morning to a new pair."
The shoes were designed to be printed on the CubeX 3D printer, user can select the size and colour of their choice to make their own. Each shoe takes about six or seven hours to print, says the company.
The goal of the project is to inspire more users to use 3D printing, create new designs and share their ideas with others. The 3D printed shoes, made of ABS or PLA plastic, are designed with the strength to be worn but they are not the most comfortable ever. However once the possibilities for 3D printing becomes more powerful, it won't be long that we could just design and produce our own practical and personalized shoes at home.

Those legs in the 3D printer don't look awkward at all. /sarcasm The last one looks like the lady has to break some bones to do, angles & orientations matter.

It should be noted that the files that are available are *only* gcode printable using the Cubify printer software. You don't get to download the object files.
