At World Maker Faire New York in September, Jenny Kortina and Brett Cupta demonstrated their Blokify, a simplified 3d modeling iOS application that allows everyone, including children, to easily build custom and 3d print anything they can imagine.
Blokify is custom block-based 3D modeling software that enables users to interact with the blocks on a touch-sceen device using gestures. It is intuitive, creative and fun. Users can easily create any 3D models on the screen then send their creation to their home printer, or use Blokify's 3D printing service. Users can go from a thought to physical product within a few a hours.
Blokify is a funded, early stage startup located near Madison Square Park in Manhattan. The team's goal is simple: expand the existing 3d printing market of prototypers and artists to everyone. Their Blokify 3D modeling software will be available on iOS in December 2013. The team is going to have a booth at NYC Comic Con from Oct 10-13 with iPads demo of the latest version of their software, printed models, and a 3d printer. If you happen to visit NYC Comic Con with your kids this month, be sure to try the app out and get printing your own creations.
