3D printing filament, PLA and ABS plastic tend to absorb water out of the atmosphere, and PLA absorbs even more than ABS. Moisture can cause delamination or bubbles in your material and poor quality prints. As such, it is important to keep your filament stored at a reasonable temperature and humidity.
Grand Rapids, MI based Perception Engineering designed and built the Filament Safe, an airtight storage container that helps maintain the print quality of your 3D printing filament. It can also shorten the material change over time required. The clear Acrylic case helps you determine what color and how much material you have remaining without opening the safe.

That's very nice, but at that cost, very unnecessary too. That fitting can easily be attached to an off the shelf container.

Nice way to show off your filament. On my budget though I will be using clear air-tight cereal containers. Looks like most spools should fit nicely in those.
