This year, Santa and his elves are eagerly awaiting another holiday season. When one man has to deliver gifts to children all over the world, he needs a state-of-the-art sleigh.

GE teams up with GrabCAD to present a fun contest '3DPrintMyGift Challenge' asking designers and engineers to help design a new sleigh for Santa, equipped with new technologies to aid him in his global travels.

Participants need to design a 3D printable 50mm x 50mm x 50 mm model of the Sleigh for Santa, with minimum 2mm wall thickness. The sleigh must be lightweight, comfortable for Santa to use during his long journey. And also must be light enough to hang as an ornament on a tree.

The cool thing is, the winning sleigh design will be turned into an ornament that GE will use as a prize for part of GE's #3DPrintMyGift holiday campaign on December 3. Your design will be 3D printed and shipped to fans around the country as a gift for the holiday season. Plus, GE will promote your name and design across their social media pages.

The Challenge starts on November 13, 2013 and ends on November 24, 2013. You can click here to enter.
