QSQM Technology Corporation in ShenYang, a manufacturer of DLP 3D Printer in China, announced that the company has been acquired for $1 million by Nanjing F.M. company.
QSQM is said to be the first company to research and develop DLP 3D printer in China. Back in January, QSQM Corporation launched a new DLP 3D printer crowd-funding campaign on Indiegogo. DLP Projector based printers have been gaining in popularity in the last few years. Utilizing the same kind of projector often used for PowerPoint presentations, DLP 3D printer is capable of turning liquid into finely detailed objects. The projector shines on the surface of a liquid plastic resin that hardens when exposed to a certain wavelength of light. The light draws and hardens a layer at a time until the entire model is built.
Its first product, the Uncia (QS-1) DLP 3D printer features full metal frame and can print layers as thin as 100 microns (0.004 in) in a build volume of 102 x 77 x 180 mm (4.02 x 3.03 x 7.09 in). The retail price of Uncia (QS-1) DLP 3D printer is $999 and QSQM offered coupons ( ($100~$500) on Indiegogo so backers can purchase these coupons for $20~$100.
The new company's headquarters will be located in Nanjing, China. Suppported by Nanjing Institute of Advanced Laser Technology (NIALT), the company will focus on developing faster, more stable, and more precise low cost DLP and SLA 3D printers.
During the past months, QSQM has been working on major feature upgrades to the Uncia DLP 3D printer. QSQM told 3ders.org that main hardware has been upgraded, and the printer is designed to be more precise and stable than the Uncia original. The new Uncia DLP 3D printer will be launched on August 1st on Indiegogo, with a much cheaper price: only $299 for basic model.
QSQM has also a plant in NanJing where the team is currently developing precise SLA 3D printers. "We have two goals for SLA 3D printers." QSQM told us. "We will make it smart, easy to operate with 'One-button' print. We will also provide customizable solutions for enterprises, featuring high-resolution, large build volume and fast print speed."
The new company will have over 70 employees and mainly work in the field of applied chemistry, light source, software and mechanics.

looks like a metal version of the sedgewick. which didn't seem to do well on kickstarter or indiegogo. dipping the part into the resin has some issues. I have one though and really like it for what it is though.

These guys 100% ripped of Sedgewick3D , they even ripped off his firmware and printing interface/software. Strange! They don't have any filters for ambient light? They must have some kind miracle resin what can harden selectively from laser, but not ambient light.
