3D printing material manufacturer Helian Polymers, Brand Owner of ColorFabb based in the Netherlands, announced today the collaboration with Eastman Chemical Company (USA), leading producer of Specialty Polyesters. The two companies will introduce a new low-odor, styrene-free 3D printing solution at the 3D Printshow in London, Sept. 4 to 6.

Eastman and Helian's new offering will provide makers of 3D filaments with a consistent, high-quality product, accoridng to a statement today.

"Less than 1 year ago we have started a joint development project with Eastman, developing / producing and testing many specific formulations of polymers." notes Colorfabb team.

The new material exhibits a set of unique features : toughness / clarity / low-odor (styrene free) and full food contact compliance, this all combined with a high Tg : 75 C +, it will bring much more functionality to desktop 3D Printing.

Eastman is a global specialty chemical company which serves customers in approximately 100 countries and had 2013 revenues of approximately $9.4 billion. The company is headquartered in Kingsport, Tenn., USA, and employs approximately 14,000 people around the world.

Helian Polymers produces 3D printing filaments, under the brand name ColorFabb, in a variety of formulations.
