3D scanner firm, Fuel3D announced today that it has signed a joint distribution deal in the UK with 3D printing company Ultimaker. The company's 3D scanner will be offered as part of a bundle deal including the Ultimaker 2 3D printer to customers in the United Kingdom via their websites and through both companies' direct sales teams in the UK, starting in October 2014.

Fuel 3D Technologies raised over $300,000 for the development of an affordable, high resolution handheld 3D scanner through a successful crowdfunding campaign on Kickstarter. Earlier this year, the company announced a $2.6 million investment from syndicate of private investors, led by Chimera Partners. The company is currently working to fulfil Kickstarter orders, with full commercial availability of the scanner slated for later this year.

Fuel3D today also announced it has partnered with WYNIT Distribution, LLC to distribute its products in North America and Canada, boosting the company's reseller channel, sales, customer relationships and business logistics across the region.

Fuel3D is exhibiting at 3D Printshow in London, Sep 4-6, where media have an exclusive opportunity to have a 3D scan of their face printed and sent to them after the show.
