Brook Drumm, CEO of Printrbot has just announced their next 3D printer called Printrbot Play. The Printrbot Play will be a fully assembled FDM 3D printer. It has a build envelope of 100 x 100 x 130 mm, smaller than the Simple metal (150x150x150 mm). The Play comes with a metal chassis and a Mic6 aluminum print bed.

"The 'coming soon' Printrbot Play will replace the Makers kit. We are focused on ease of use… this is our true beginner bot," notes the company.

The Printrbot Play is priced at $399, but the company has not announced a date for the release.

I love my Printrbot Simple Metal, because of what it can do with Cura. Though, I've had two problems and it's been broken longer than it's been working. I hope this beginner version is more user friendly.
