Chinese 3D printer manufacturer Zhuhai CTC Electronic Co., Ltd has released a brand new FFF based 3D printed called 'CTC Giant 3D printer'. The company held a new press conference this past Thursday, May 28 in Zhuhai and unveiled the new printer.

Based on Ultimaker's open source designs, the printer features a build volume of 305mm x 305mm x 405mm. It comes supplied with Cura slicing software and is capable of a maximum print speed of 180 mm/s. It works with 3D printable file formats such as STL, OBJ, Gcode and is capable of printing object in both ABS and PLA.

Additionally the printer has Wifi capability, and can be connected to both Android and iOS operating systems. This allows the 3D printer to be operated remotely via any hand-held smartphone and tablet, without need for a desktop computer.

The 3D printer has also a steel frame and is equipped with a nozzle diameter of either 0.4mm or 0.2mm.

The CTC Giant 3D Printer is priced at $2,500, but within China it is available for just RMB 9,800 which converts to roughly $1,582.

I bought a CTC Giant 3D Printer and it is crap! The extruder will not heat properly and won't even heat enough to do ABS prints.
