Pursuing its goal of becoming the leading 3D printing hub for companies looking to expand their offerings through 3D printing, Utah-based 3D printing and design service WhiteClouds announced a major expansion into a new 60,000 square foot facility as well as the installation of 14 new full-color 3D printers from 3D Systems into their production line. The expansion, which brings the company’s fleet up to 24 full-color 3D Systems printers, more than doubles their full-color 3D printing capacity and makes the two-year-old company the largest full-color 3D print services provider in the world. In order to support this growth and new production capabilities, WhiteClouds hired new COO Joey Skinner and new CRO Braden Ellis, charged with managing partnerships and strategic alliances to create future growth and revenues.
The massive new facility is located in Ogden, Utah, where WhiteClouds is headquartered. Their sweeping range of full-color 3D printers now includes ProJet 660Pros, ProJet4500s and a ProJet 860Pro—WhiteClouds is also an authorized 3D Systems reseller. “Our new facility is designed for world-class manufacturing,” said Jerry Ropelato, WhiteClouds CEO. “Its location is very strategic and our layout is conducive to lean manufacturing principles and high-quality production.”
The company primarily focuses on business-to-business sales, building business partnerships where they act as the back-end printer (though they do sometimes work directly with consumers, this explains why you might not have heard much about WhiteClouds in the past). With experience in designing full color 3D architectural models, detailed video game character, realistic entertainment models, and functional prototypes, WhiteClouds is a proven leader in 3D modeling and 3D printing. Moving forward with their new facility and expanded line of 3D printers, the company plans to continue expanding in four key industries: architecture, entertainment, prototyping and coming soon, 3D printed medical applications.

To show off their new capabilities and introduce more companies to the power of 3D printing, WhiteClouds will be hosting an open house on October 27th for business, media, government officials and the general public.
