3D printing company Stratasys Direct Manufacturing recently partnered with an external research firm to gather information from professionals on how they are using and integrating 3D printing technologies into their businesses. Out of the professionals asked, which included engineers, designers, CEOs, as well as buyers from the consumer, medical, aerospace, transportation, defense, energy, and automation sectors, 1,295 responded, providing Stratasys with a comprehensive look at how 3D printing is being used, and where its future may be headed. Among the questions asked to the professionals were the following:

“How does your company use 3D printing?”

“What is the landscape of 3D printing/additive manufacturing today?”

“How has it changed over the past 30 years?”

“How does your company plan on using 3D printing in the future?”
