Polish 3D printer manufacturer 3DGence has introduced its latest 3D printer model, the 3DGence DOUBLE. Equipped with a dual-extrusion system, the new 3D printer is expected to hit the market imminently, with first orders being shipped out as of today.

The FDM 3D printer market is forever growing, with an incredibly broad range of desktop 3D printer models being released, updated, and marketed to makers. But hey, as long as these new 3D printers are bringing something new to the table, who’s complaining?

With its new dual-extrusion 3D printer, 3DGence claims to be offering a desktop 3D printer with superior print quality and control.

“All default settings have been tested for dimensional accuracy, ease of detaching supports and layers lamination,” the company says. These features, along with the ability to simultaneously 3D print soluble supports enable makers to print high-quality plastic parts.

In terms of print control, the 3DGence DOUBLE comes with a built-in material flow control system which uses independent filament sensors to detect filament-related errors. If an error is detected, such as material shortage, the sensors will automatically pause the 3D printing process. Once the problem is resolved, the print can resume without fault.

With a build volume of 190 x 255 x 195 mm, the 3D printer has a relatively standard print envelope, and users can expect a minimum layer resolution of 50 microns. One of the printer’s more exciting characteristics is an interchangeable heatbed. 3DGence adds that its heatbed comes with three layers of thermal protection.

Other notable features of the 3DGence DOUBLE include an autocalibration system, an easy hotend exchange system called PUSH that allows users to switch between hotends in just seconds and with no additional tools, smart (and quiet) stepper motor controllers, and a 4.3” color touchscreen LCD display panel.

The 3D printer is fully compatible with the Polish company’s 3DGence Slicer software, which not only offers makers the ability to choose their print settings based on visual quality or print durability but also offers a number of printing profiles for material combinations.

Presently, 3DGence says users can benefit from preset printing profiles for the following material combinations: PLA and BVOH, PET and BVOH, PP and HIPS, and NYLON and HIPS. (BVOH, of course, is a soluble support material by VERBATIM, with whom 3DGence is collaborating.)

More generally, the company says its 3DGence DOUBLE 3D printer is compatible with “most filaments on the market.” At present, no cost has been disclosed. For more specifications see below:

Hi, We think that photos are not ideal to show print quality. If you want to check how the printer is working order a free sample: double.3dgence.com DOUBLE is a dual extruder, dual nozzle 3D printer. Chamber is an additional accessory that will be available in May.

*shrug* -"superior print quality" yet doesn't show any pictures of said prints...is it single or DUAL nozzle? because dual nozzle is not very good. No build chamber. This isn't going to end well.
