This week's Futurama features 3D printing! This week Bender wanted to become a guitarist. With the help of a scientist and 3D printing technology, Bender is able to create the guitar of his dreams. The Make-O-Matic 3D printer in the video looks pretty much like the Thing-O-Matic 3D printer from Makerbot!

It's no surprise Futurama takes on 3D printing. Matt Groening and David X. Cohen, the executive producers of Futurama, are actually both fans of Makerbot and its 3D printer. They have a MakerBot in their office and they love it! "It's one of the coolest gizmos you'll ever see." says Cohen in the interview below.
