3D printer manufacturer Airwolf 3D is releasing the newest addition to its robust line of products: the AW3D HD.
The AW3D HD 3D printer features a large print volume of 1,150 cubic inches (12"x8"x12" - approximately 300mm x 200mm x300 mm), coupled with layer-to-layer resolution as fine as .05mm (.002"). It has a partially enclosed, yet easily accessible proprietary frame design made of acrylic and 3D printed components. The HD is also fully autonomous, meaning that it is not necessary to couple it to a computer to print.
"With this printer it is now possible to repeatedly print very large objects quickly and precisely in a number of different materials." said Airwolf 3D president Erick Wolf.
"We applied what we learned from the V.5.5 and XL and customer feedback to design an incredibly reliable 3D printer incorporating oversized motors, precision motion belts, and bullet-proof electronics."
With its new Jam-Resistant hot end the AW3D HD can print using a variety of raw materials, including ABS, PLA, PVA, Nylon, T-Glass, Laywood, Laybrick, Bendlay, Soft PLA, and HIPS.
