First 3D printing experience store in Israel set to open its doors this week on Saturday, December 21, 2013.
The team at 3D Factory announces today the official grand opening of the store. Located in the artsy and cultural NOGA neighborhood of North Jaffa, 3D Factory is a natural fit and has already generated local interest and curiosity.
"Unlike 3D printing labs, 3D Factory is a balance between a studio gallery, workshop space, and retail store. It gives the community, beyond designers and students, the opportunity to experience 3D printing up close and in person, as well as purchase home desktop 3D printers, speciality items or create their own." says Jessica Jaffe of 3D Factory.
Both the physical store and the company's website will display and sell 3D printed unique items such as jewelry, lampshades, keychains, smartphone cases, magnets, vases, etc. All products are currently built from desktop 3D printers in the store and are made of ABS or PLA plastic.
The store will house six 3D Desktop Printers, Makerbot Thing-o-matic, Replicator 2, Replicator 2X, FlashForge Creator, Ultimaker 2 and Something 3D. There will also be a workshop station that customers could use a range of 3D modeling software to create their own designs and get them printed. In addition 3D Factory will also host workshop events and lectures to foster a fun and interactive learning environment for newcomers.
For those in the Tel Aviv Jaffa area, the grand opening will take place on Saturday, December 21st, 2013 at 7:30 PM.
