Hannah Soukup is a multidisciplinary student of the arts, exploring the integration of materials and fashion through a combination of traditional and innovative craftsmanship. Her work is based on fundamental themes relating to the mind, emotions, feelings, thoughts, mental conditions, and personal states of being.
In collaboration with architect Ludovico Lombardi, Hannah Soukup designed a stunning neck piece. 3D printed by Materialise, the neck piece was featured in the third annual Supima Design Competition fashion show in 2013. Designed to be an articulated, elegant, and fluid shape, the piece was created to complement a dress in Soukup's "Insides" collection which explores the hidden physical and personal inner self.
'I aspire to create fashion that is more than fashion – fashion that uses technology but is not "techy" – fashion that is grounded in historical techniques and craftsmanship, combined with technological innovations, to create new experiences to wear.'
