NinjaFlex is a flexible filament for 3D printers that produces flexible prints with elastic properties. Specially formulated thermoplastic elastomer (TPE), NinjaFlex's unique flexibility and smooth feeding characteristics enable you to create clean and high-quality printed parts.

But if you have ever tried printing ninjaflex on a PrintrBot, you may have noticed sometimes the printer doesn't extrude well. Because the material is so flexible, and the drive gear and the hotend are so far apart, the filament can actually tangle before it reaches to the hotend.

To solve the problem, Adafruit team has devleoped a 3D printed filament upgrade which eliminates this problem by guiding the filament directly to the drive gear, removing any room to buckle.

The 3d printable filament guide is designed for the Printrbot Simple Metal. It's a free download on Thingiverse and the installation is easy, requiring no additional parts. The stl files are tested on a PrintrBot Simple Metal, Makerbot Replicator 1, 2. It is recommended that you use ABS as material for providing stronger support.
