The 2014 Fifa World Cup officially got under way on Thursday. 29-year-old Juliano Pinto, a paraplegic young man made the first kick using a mind-controlled robotic exoskeleton, created with the help of 3D printing.
To support the biggest single-event sporting competition, Ultimaker is letting soccer fans around the world show their support for their favorite team by creating 16 unique country related Mascots.
Each Mascot comes with its own country flag, which can be 2D-printed and then glued on to a PLA flag pole. Ultimaker encourages all 3D-printer users out there, not just Ultimaker users, to print out the Mascot of the country they support. You can download design of Mascots from YouMagine, their fully open source 3D design hosting system here.
