XYZprinting, the manufacturer of affordable consumer grade 3D printers, announced that its da Vinci 1.0 AiO (all–in-one) 3D printer plus scanner is now shipping in the U.S. market.

Priced at just $799, Da Vinci 1.0 AiO 3D printer features include:

  • Large Build Size: Da Vinci uses fused filament fabrication (FFF) technology and prints items at 7.8''x7.8''x7.8'' (198 x 198 x 198 mm)
  • Built-In Hi-Res Scanning: Objects are scanned with 0.05mm resolution in just 5 minutes, and saved in .stl format.
  • Effective Design: Asymmetric laser sensors combined with a turntable work together to ensure a comprehensive scan, even from the most difficult angles
  • Patent-Pending Algorithm: XYZprinting's proprietary scanning algorithm, Speedy Scan, automatically fills in voids with appropriate texture and curves to provide a seamless printing experience
  • Easy Scanning with XYZScan: Just set the scan, click once to preview and edit as necessary, and send for printing
  • Scan-to-Design Function: Any scanned item can instantly be saved as a design so you can replicate this print in the future, and share with others

It also shares the same user-friendly features of XYZprinting's current award-winning and top-selling printers, such as a smart filament cartridge system, nozzle cleaning, and one-year limited warranty at no cost.

One of the biggest appeals for me with the da Vinci printer / scanner is that you can share anything that you scan on the XYZWorld cloud community or any 3d printer forums. Like 3dPrintboard.com 3dprintforums.com or My3DPrinter.club etc. But its best to have the XYZ Printing All-in-One Printer Scanners rather than having just the printer. That said the da Vinci 1.0 has a bigger build volume than the 2.0 Duo http://3dprinterxyz.com/xyzprinting-da-vinci-2-0-duo-3d-printer/ Also reports show that most medium sized scans are done at 0.05mm within 5 to 10 minutes not including enhancing.

Does it still use their ridiculous proprietary filament cartridges, or can it use filament from other suppliers?

@Ivan: Thanks. 1. updated. 2. You are right, they state Scan Resolution: 0.25 mm (250 μm) on its website. But according to their info provided to press, the 3D scanning capability is supposed to have a .05mm resolution. Let's keep the .05mm resolution for now. But check it before you decide to buy.

Hi 3ders.org, 1) there is a mistake above: Specifications: Resolution: Fine 0.1 mm (100 microns) / Standard 0.2 mm (200 microns) Speed: 0.3 mm (300 microns) / Ultra Fast 0.4 mm (400 microns) ------------------------------------------------------------------------ 0.3 mm (300 microns) / Ultra Fast 0.4 mm (400 microns) actually do NOT refer to Speed, they actually refer to Resolution. See: http://us.xyzprinting.com/product/dv10aio#spec_single xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx 2) Clarification: 2nd bullet point above: Built-In Hi-Res Scanning: Objects are scanned with 0.05mm resolution in just 5 minutes, and saved in .stl format. But in Specifications: Scan Resolution: 0.25 mm (250 μm) Which is accurate? Thank you
