Czech 3D printer manufacturer be3D announced that it has received strategic investment from Czech-based company, Y Soft. Y Soft has acquired 51% of be3D for $2 million, with an additional $900K upon the expected growth of the company. David Miklas, the founder of the company, remains the head of be3D.

be3D has beginning 3D printer development since December 2012. They have introduced three FDM 3D printers: DeeOrange, DeeGreen, and DeeRed. The first generation DeeOrange has been replaced by more advanced model DeeGreen which was first introduced at CeBIT 2014. The DeeGreen is a fully automatic 3D printer and the DeeRed is a larger DM printer targeted at industrial users. The DeeGreen and DeeRed are currently available through its distribution networks.

be3D and Y Soft, Czech companies, established their business relationship through CzechInvest's CzechAccelerator program in the USA. Y Soft entered the American market in 2009 with the acquisition of local company XpertImage, and be3D entered the US market in 2013.

Y Soft operates in the global market through its offices in 16 countries on five continents. The company's main product is the YSoft SafeQ print solution that allows organizations to manage and optimize their printing, copying and scanning.

"Working together with Y Soft will significantly help be3D to grow. I believe that by using Y Soft's experience, we will succeed in globalizing our products, and significantly increasing sales. Linking production, purchasing and logistics will make the entire process, from production to sales, more efficient. Streamlining processes will bring higher margins, which will allow us to devote ourselves to the development of new products, along with the planned expansion of production," says David Miklas, CEO and founder of be3D.

"We have been monitoring the 3D print market over the long term and had also been considering entering this segment after 2D printing for a long time. Through integrating with be3D, 3D printers will become a strategic product for us. Which, in the short term, we can use on the international market," says Vaclav Muchna, CEO and co-founder of Y Soft.
