Full Spectrum Laser, the 3D printing company based in Las Vegas, Nev., today unveiled two new, high-resolution, digital light 3D resin printers designed for jewelry and dental markets.

Full Spectrum Laser is the company behind the Pegasus Touch printer, a desktop 3D printer that uses laser found in your Blu-ray player to deliver high quality results at a fraction of the price of other laser 3D printers.

Now Full Spectrum Laser is back with two new 3D printers: Phoenix Touch and Phoenix Touch Pro. Compared to the the Pegasus Touch printer's 178 x 178 x 228 mm build areas, the new printers will have smaller build areas.

The Phoenix Touch 1080P uses Digital light projectors (DLP) which expose images into light-hardening liquid resin to quickly build a 3D object layer by layer. It will have a build area measuring in at 96mm x 54 mm x 100mm (3.78" x 2.13" x 3.94"). The Phoenix Touch 1080P features a sharp 50um XY pixel resolution. The printer comes with a built-in, standalone touchscreen computer, software for Macintosh or Windows, and features a ball screw for the highest Z-axis motion accuracy in the industry.

The Phoenix Touch 1080P also uses patent-pending SuperVAT technology for faster and more reliable prints.

Features:

  • 50 um XY pixel size
  • ball screw for ultimate Z accuracy (5um resolution)
  • 96mm x 54mm x 100mm build volume
  • SuperVAT Technology: never replace a PDMS container
  • Built-in standalone touchscreen computer with USB, Ethernet, Wifi (optional): no external computer needed
  • Standalone USB drive: no external computer needed
  • Standalone Network Connection: ideal for printer farms – one computer can control dozens of printers
  • Advanced Windows/Mac Software with Shelling/Hollow and Tree Supports (save up to 80% materials)
  • Many Materials: Clear, Opaque, Castable, Flexible
  • Materials cost on average 33% less than comparable printers

The Phoenix Touch 1080P is priced at $3,499.

The Phoenix Touch Pro.

The second model, the Phoenix Touch Pro UV LED, features the same platform as the Phoenix Touch 1080P but instead uses an upgraded, all-glass optics projector with a high-efficiency UV LED with 20,000-plus hour lifetime. The Phoenix Touch Pro features a build area of 64mm x 40mm x 100mm. According to the company, cure times are up to 10 times shorter per layer than halogen bulb-based DLP printers due to its powerful, single wavelength UV LED.

The Phoenix Touch Pro is priced at $4,999.

The company unveiled today the Phoenix Touch 3D Printers at the 3D Printer World Convention and Expo in Burbank, Calif.
