As we continue to see a surge of 3D printers enter the market, it’s not surprising that among other factors that manufacturers are focusing on to set themselves apart from the crowd is print speed.
While the industry has been teased with various additive manufacturing technologies that aim to change the game altogether - such as the ultra-fast additive manufactuing technology that was presented by Carbon3D earlier this year - none of these options exist yet as a consumer-ready product. In the meantime, most efforts towards speeding up the existing 3D printing process have been met with enthusiasm by the 3D printing community at large.
Among others, Create it REAL, the Danish 3D printing technology provider, and WEISTEK, a leading Chinese 3D Printer manufacturer announced today that they are partnering to develop a super-fast desktop FFF 3D Printer that is aimed at home-based users.
Create it REAL, who are based in Aalborg (considered by some to be the old Danish "Silicon Valley"), is a collective of experts who come from a variety of product development industries including those with backgrounds in 3D printing technologies, electronics, 3D graphics and mechanical engineering. In 2013, the company - which has strong roots in R&D - created the first real time processor which allowed FFF printers to print between 5 to 10 times faster than the existing technologies.
Under the partnership with WEISTEK, who is already a leading 3D printer manufacturer in China, the two companies have announced their first project called the IdeaWerk Speed, which leverages the Create it REAL platform to print 3 to 10 times faster than current similar 3D printers.
“We were looking for a consumer brand that could offer a reliable 3D printer, easy to setup, safe and capable of handling the high speed and high accelerations generated by our technology” says Jeremie Pierre Gay, CEO of Create it REAL. “WEISTEK is a strong brand in China and has received very good feedback on its IdeaWerk Plus in the USA and Europe so far. Our technology was targeting business customers at first, where speed and reliability is key, but we have found a way to offer it to consumers who will now be able to enjoy high performances, too”.
Create it REAL has promised that along with the user-friendly intuitive software, the IdeaWerk Speed is a “very fast” 3D printer and will “reassure beginners’ expectations as well as support demanding Makers who want to tweak all settings”.

“Our engineers were impressed by Create it REAL technology: the flexibility, the reliability and of course, the performances made it obvious for us to work together,” said WEISTEK CEO Vicky Chen.
“With the IdeaWerk Speed, we hope to prove to (everybody) that 3D printing is easy, fun and fast, too”.
The companies plan on demonstrating the IdeaWerk Speed for the first time publicly during the TCT show in Birmingham, UK at the end of September.

Ideawerk is great for printing 3d objects. It is cheap and helping me from a long time. I wish alll printers are the same and could have provided solutions for cheap prices. I bought mine from http://amzn.to/1K8WI22
