Dutch 3D printer manufacturer Builder 3D Printers is launching their new Builder Premium line of desktop 3D printers today at the 2015 Prototyping Expo in Belgium. Much like their previous 3D printers, the Premium line includes durable and reliable features, such as their unique Dual-Feed extruder system and color mixing software, however in order to ensure a perfect fit for all consumers, the Premium line will be available in three different heights: small, medium, and large.
While the X and Y axis will be the same for all models (210 x 210mm), the Z axis expands dramatically. The Premium Builder Small has a maximum build height of 200mm, the Medium goes up to 400mm, and finally the Premium Builder Large can deliver 3D prints up to 600mm tall. “The original Builders have been received very well by the 3D printing industry but we felt the need to offer the right fit for every customer” said Niels Hunck, Sales manager of Builder 3D Printers. “This is why we have worked hard on the Builder Premium which reflects the current state of technology from our everyday life.” Indeed, increased use of 3D printers in classrooms, universities and at home means an increasing demand for reliable desktop 3D printers that can handle a variety of needs. Rather than try for a ‘one-size-fits-all’ approach, which often ends up leaving much to be desired, Builder 3D Printers designed an entire line to suit all needs.
The Builder Premium line of 3D printers also includes features geared towards optimizing print results and the user’s experience. These include the integrated 4.3 inch full-color touch screen with WiFi connectivity, Builder’s control centre, placed on top for easy access; as well as the heated printing bed, which is fully enclosed so that it can maintain a stable temperature and decrease the chances of warping.
The Premium line also features a camera, so you can check your print progress from work or on the road, color mixing software that changes the extruder ratio while printing for unique color hybrids, and Builder’s unique Dual-Feed design, which is able to print two colors or materials through a single nozzle.
Pre-ordering for the Builder Premium series starts today, either through the website or at an official Builder 3D Printers reseller. The prices are €2,450 for the Small, €3,250 for the Medium, and €3,750 for the Large. Shipping is set for late November, meaning of course that any pre-orders will arrive just in time for Christmas.
Previously, Netherlands-based Builder 3D Printers came out with their first model, the 3D Builder in 2013, and followed-up with the well-received Big Builder in February 2014.

Me too. I own the classic big builder, but a wider x-y buildplate is often more useful than the high building space on the z-axis. I asked builder, if they are planning a wider Desktop Printer - but thats not the case :-(

I wish 3d printing machines were also made wider. All machines have the same form factor-vertical. Only one company makes wider machines...for architectural models.
