Prodways, a subsidiary of French tech company Group Gorge, has announced the launch of its new ProMaker LD 3D printers at the International Dental Show (IDS) 2017 this week in Cologne, Germany.

This year’s IDS takes place from March 21st to 25th, continuing its tradition of showcasing the latest technologies disrupting the dental industry. Among those leading players, Prodways will join 3D tech innovators such as Formlabs and EnvisionTEC in its new product launch.

Prodways’ next generation of ProMaker LD 3D printer comprises three printers, and builds on the company’s acclaimed MOVINGLight technology. This patented technology’s combination of precision and productivity on large manufacturing has continually impressed dental aligner manufacturers, labs, and production centres to date. And with Prodways’ launch of a new generation of printers, expectations remain high.

Combining a native resolution of 42µm per pixel, high dimensional precision on 3 axes, and ample productivity through its moving DLP, the new ProMaker LD 3D printer series can print up to 38 dental arches per hour.

Particularly notable is the ProMaker LD series’ new and improved compact design. Each printer takes up less than 0.8m² of floor space, and comes complete with interchangeable production platforms that range from 165mm x 150mm to 450mm x 445 mm. Vats of various heights offer the option of reducing the amount of resin needed for each application. Additionally, the updated series boasts a more user-friendly interface than seen with its previous iteration, and includes a built-in touchscreen for optimal control of the production process.

The series itself is comprised of three 3D printers: the ProMaker LD-10, the ProMaker LD-20, and the ProMaker LD-45. The LD-10 and LD-20 feature compact dimensions of 750 x 1080 x 1780 mm; build platforms that go up to 300 x 445 x 200 mm; and layer thickness of 25-100 µm. The ProMaker LD-10 and Promaker LD-20 encompass a production volume of 20 and 30 arches per hour, respectively.

The ProMaker LD-45, on the other hand, has dimensions of 900 x 1080 x 1780 mm, and includes a similar build platform of up to 450 x 445 x 200 mm, and a layer thickness of 25-100 µm. Its production volume, however, goes up to 38 arches per hour, making it the optimal dental 3D printer for high volume facilities.

Prodways will showcase the ProMaker LD-10, the ProMaker LD-20, and the ProMaker LD-20 at the fast-approaching IDS 2017, which kicks off today. You can find Prodways all this week at stand L029 in Hall 4.2.
