Exciting news for those patiently awaiting the release of Adidas’ new AlphaEDGE 4D LTD sneaker. The 3D printed shoes, made using the sportswear giant’s FUTURECRAFT manufacturing technology, will be released on February 17 instead of their expected May release date.

You might have to act quickly to get your hands on a pair of the new and hugely anticipated AlphaEDGE 4D shoes, as only a limited number are available for the early release. Interested customers have to reserve a pair of the $300 shoes between now and February 15 via the Adidas app.

If you manage to put your name to a pair of the 3D printed sneakers, they’ll be available for pick-up on February 17 at Adidas’ Los Angeles locations in Santa Monica and Culver City. Missed the reservation window? You also have a limited chance of snatching a pair of the new sneakers online or at three LA retail locations (Nice Kicks, BAIT, and UNDEFEATED) on February 17.

The shoes, which feature a specially designed 3D printed insole, are manufactured in partnership with 3D printing company Carbon. Adidas and Carbon partnered last spring with the goal of leveraging Carbon’s DLS 3D printing technology to mass produce Futurecraft 4D shoes.

In a recent release, Adidas also announced its 3D printed Futurecraft 4D shoe would be returning in March.

For now, the new AlphaEDGE 4D sneaker can be reserved in a range of colors including Core Black, Grey, Aero, and Ash Green.
