SHINING 3D has released its next generation of multi-functional handheld 3D scanners, the new EinScan Pro 2X & 2X Plus. In combination with a fresh new software, ExScan Pro, design tool Solid Edge SHINING 3D Edition, the company is demonstrating its seamless process solutions: “3D scan – Design & Simulation – Additive Manufacturing”.
"Based on the feedback received from thousands of users and the valuable input of SHINING 3D’s own R&D team, the EinScan Pro 2X & 2X Plus deliver substantial improvements on scan speed, accuracy and function," said Oscar Meza, VP of Global Sales at SHINING 3D. "Making a dramatic breakthrough in scanning speed and data quality, the EinScan Pro 2X series is aimed to improve the efficiency in generating high-quality 3D models."
The EinScan Pro 2X & 2X Plus feature lightweight and compact size. The scanners provide complete portability with plug-and-play installation and unlimited scanning experiences. The EinScan Pro 2X & 2X Plus also offer faster scans and processes up to 1,500,000 points per second (30 fps) under Handheld Rapid Scan Mode with high speed data transmission – USB 3.0.
Single scan accuracy in Fixed Scan Mode is up to 0.04 mm. When using markers, the volumetric accuracy under handheld scanning modes is up to 0.05mm+0.3mm/m. Minimum point distance is up to 0.2mm under Handheld Rapid Scan and Handheld HD Scan modes, generating high-resolution 3D data.
Versatile Scan Modes & Align Modes
The EinScan Pro 2X & 2X Plus support Handheld Rapid Scan, Handheld HD Scan and Fixed Scan with turntable and Fixed Scan without turntable, as well as multiple alignment modes including feature alignment, markers alignment, turntable coded targets alignment, and manual alignment.
Modular Design to Handle a Wide Range of Applications
Color Pack, Industrial Pack, and HD Prime Pack optional add-on’s to EinScan Pro 2X series enhance the system for various scanning experiences and applications.
The ExScan Pro software offer a Brand-new UI and workflow providing users a 3D scan process as simple as taking a video. A new operation mode provides users a faster scanning experience during operation and allows setting resolution option after scanning during data processing. Outputs standard file formats include STL, OBJ, PLY, ASC and P3 (global markers file).
The powerful design tool Solid Edge SHINING 3D Edition software, which results from the collaboration between Siemens PLM Software and SHINING 3D, includes reverse engineering, generative design, and simulation together with CAD tool in one single platform. “The integration of Solid Edge SHINING 3D Edition, EinScan 3D scanners and 3D printer enables users a complete solution covering 3D digitize – design & simulate –additive manufacturing,” said Oscar Meza, “it will significantly improve the efficiency and quality for designers, engineers and researchers.
Visitors to formenxt 2018 can experience these innovations firsthand in Frankfurt from November 13th through the 16th. Meet SHINING 3D at Booth D18 at HALL3.0.
