SHINING 3D, a China-based firm that specializes in 3D digitizing and 3D printing technologies, is at CES 2019 showcasing their latest EinScan® Pro 2X series of multi-functional handheld 3D scanners. The EinScan Pro 2X and EinScan Pro 2X Plus (is it me or are companies getting lazier with product names?) are both on display, featuring higher scanning speeds and higher resolutions than previous models.

They partnered with Siemens PLM Software to develop their new digital innovation platform, Solid Edge SHINING 3D Edition, which enables users to use reverse engineering, generative design, and simulation with other CAD tools in one platform.  Their software can also be used to create full-color and textured models for virtual displays.

SHINING 3D scanning solutions can be applied to prosthetics, orthotics, custom footwear, and other personalized equipment. They also market their scanners to nail salons for creating new formats of nail art. Of course, their 3D scanners can be used on nearly any object, including cultural relics, sculptures, and faces.

SHINING 3D is presenting the following solutions with partners at its booth:

  • Product Development Solution—in partnership with Siemens PLM Software, the new generation of digital innovation platform, Solid Edge SHINING 3D Edition enables users to use reverse engineering, generative design, and simulation together with CAD tool in one platform.
  • Virtual Display Solution – easily generate and create high quality 3D models with full-color texture.
  • The Solution for Education – offers the education bundle from 3D scanning to 3D printing, inspiring the next generation through 3D technology.
  • Human Body 3D Scanning Solution – applied in orthotics, prosthetics, footwear, custom made equipment, and etc.
  • Revolutionary Nail Scan Solution –brings new opportunities and innovations for the nail beauty industry. Visitors to SHINING 3D’s booth can experience a brand-new experience of nail 3D scanning.
  • Art & Culture Solution – applied in digital archiving, restoration of cultural relics, re-creation of sculpture work, and etc.

SHINING 3D was founded in 2004 and has focused on creating intuitive 3D solutions catered to both professionals and consumers. There’s currently a lot of competition in the 3D scanning space, so cheers to those duking it out on the CES floor in Las Vegas.
