The Portabee team launched Panther 3D printer last weekend, a new personal 3D printer constructed using high grade CNC style precision components.

This fully assembled 3D printer features stainless steel linear guideways for smooth motion, rigid aluminium components and heated bed with software temperature setting.


  • Positional Accuracy: X & Y: 0.025mm / 25 microns; Z: 0.005mm / 5 microns
  • 0.4mm printing nozzle
  • Build Volume: 202mm (X) x 162mm (Y) x 157mm (Z) / 5.1 Litres
  • 4 week lead time

The price of assembled Panther 3D printer is $960 (€737 / £630).

What's "high grade CNC style precision components" appear to be linear ball bearing slides. Everything else appears to be pretty common components for DIY 3D printers.
