Founded by National Society of Professional Engineers (NSPE) in 1951, National Engineers Week, February 22–28 is held annually during the week of George Washington's birthday. Through hands-on activities and face-to-face interactions with students, Engineers Week aims to showcase how engineers are making a difference in the world, inspiring a younger generation of individuals to focus more on a career in engineering.

To inspire the next generation of engineers, Ohio University's Masters in Electrical Engineering program has shared an infographic which brings to life the vast progress that engineering has brought to modern-day technology. Examples include advancements in areas such as self-driving cars, prosthetics, 3D printing, and more.
