Dutch company LUXeXceL Group, the inventor of the revolutionary Printoptical 3D printing technology, announces today the launch of a brand new ordering platform that allows users and designers to upload CAD files for transparent 3D printing.
LUXeXceL offers the world's first 3D printing service for optically transparent and smooth 3D printed parts. LUXeXceL's one step "CAD-to-Optic" 3D printing process prints optical components in one job without the necessity for post processing like polishing, grinding and coloring the product after printing. The system is based on proven wide-format industrial inkjet printing equipment. Transparent droplets of a UV-curable polymer are jetted and then cured by strong UV-lamps which are integrated onto the print head. The results of the process are geometric or freeform shapes that may include transparent prisms or lenses, as well as full color 3D graphics and textures. LUXeXceL's 3D printed plastic optics are ideal for illumination, photovoltaic and prototyping applications.
The new service is very easy to use: After creating an account users can upload their file to the online ordering platform. They will then receive instant feedback on the printability of the design and the system will also provide a quote for printing.
Once a file is uploaded, it is stored in user's personal gallery. A user can manage all his designs and order a printout of that design anytime. The service processes orders 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Upon ordering, the prints will be delivered in 10 working days.
"At LUXeXceL we strive to make our service better every day," stated LUXeXceL's President and Founder, Richard van de Vrie. "Our new online ordering platform makes doing business with us much easier than before. The process of our new online platform is very simple: Upload your file, receive an instant quote and order your product. An easy to use and fast online ordering service to receive your optics and transparent products on demand."
