After the first 3D printing shop announced its opening in Paris, last week another 3D printing shop is opened in France near Toulouse. Digiteyezer teamed up with Nailloux Fashion Village and Open Studio and presented an amazing attraction during the Sales week from Jan 9th to Jan 12th in Nailloux. Digiteyezer installed its EASYtwin 3D photo-kiosk in the Open Studio store and this "scan-to-print" solution, named Alterego, had been used for scanning and printing 3D figurines of consumers in a winter sport suit.
EASYtwin is the first fully automatic 3D kiosk providing a "scan to print" solution to the consumer market. It is a standalone 3D kiosk that can be installed in any public area or boutique by just plugging an AC/DC socket. To scan a face, just place the client in front of the scanning station and click on the tablet. Photos are taken by the cameras installed in Easytwin. The images are used by the embedded computer that
creates the 3D face in 30 seconds. The 3D face is then displayed on the monitor of PC, TV, Tablet or projector. The 3D personalized avatars can be used in animation or 3D printing of figurines or souvenirs.
According to Digiteyezer, Easytwin is available to retail outlets and visiting areas as a lease including the entire solution for some hundred euros per month.
This new retail store welcomed more than 200 customers on the first day. Next, Digiteyezer plans to introduce a brand new technology of 3D scanning on mobile that will offer anyone a direct link from mobiles phones to 3D printers.
