"Hallo - Haka?" You may turn into a Haka answering machine if you purchase one of those Maori-tattoo style iphone cases:
The cases were created by Mark Storm, a graphic/tattoo designer from Holland, to fit the iphones 4, 4s and 5. Storm is inspired by the Maori & Samoan style and other tribal tattoo styles, like Polynesian, Hawaiian and Marquesan. His intention is not to convey any message or symbolism. Instead, his approach is purely aesthetic.
Four different colors are available: red, blue, white and black. Each case is first hand drawn by Storm then 3D sculpted and printed by Polychemy. Each case is made with a strong flexible plastic called Polyamide, which is extremely resistant to all abuse. It fits securely onto the phone and allows for an easy access to all ports and buttons without obscuring the camera and flash.
Mark Storm explains on his blog how his collaboration with Polychemy started: "While looking for a case for my Iphone 4s, I stumbled on a Dutch company that prints Iphone cases in 3d. They had used one of my Maori tattoo designs for one of their mobile phone cases, so I asked if we could work together on a few more Apple and maybe even Samsung cases. A week later I created four designs in Maori style, just like the tattoos I normally do. Once the final design was approved, I sent the high resolution file to Polychemy so they could transform the 2d sketch into a 3d model that would fit on an Iphone".
The Maori-inspired cases can be purchased for 42 dollars from Polychemy.com with a delivery of 15 days.
