Taiwanese 3D printer company XYZPrinting will launch the new da Vinci 1.0 AiO (All-in-one) and 2.1 AiO at Computex 2014 (Jun 3~7), one of the largest ICT tradeshows in the world, today in Taipei, Taiwan.
To let everyone experience the charm of 3D printing, XYZPrinting will organize mysterious and interactive "Who replicated the Mona Lisa?" activity, along with the announcement of new 3D printers.
The new 3D printers will be equipped with an in-built scanner that is able to capture objects within five minutes. XYZ claims that the scanners will be able to scan objects as large as 15 x 15 x 15 cm, utilizing company's patent pending technology. The technique will be able to repair scanning output automatically.
"Now with built-in high resolution scanning capability, we are hoping the all-in one da Vinci 1.0 AiO printer will make 3D printing even more accessible to users, even for those people who do not know how to build 3D models with software," said Simon Shen, president of XYZprinting.
All of the da Vinci machines require no assembly. The printers are currently compatible with ABS plastic and are set to be compatible with PLA by Q4. Showcased earlier this year at the Consumer Electronics Show, the da Vinci 1.0 is available for $499. The price for da Vinci 1.0 AiO will be announced today or tomorrow.
The next generation of XYZprinting machines da Vinci 2.1 features dual-nozzles for multi-color print projects, Wi-Fi connectivity, remote access through a mobile app and built in camera, and an easy-to-use touch panel for an interactive and seamless 3D printing experience. The da Vinci 2.1 will be available at an MSRP of $849 in Q3.
The da Vinci 2.1 AiO, fitted with an in-built scanner, will be unveiled today as well, stay tuned for more info about its price. Both da Vinci 1.0 AiO and 2.1 AiO will begin shipping at the end of 2014 or beginning of 2015.
Backed by Taiwan-based electronic manufacturing conglomerate, New Kinpo Group, XYZprinting is dedicated to bringing cost-effective 3D printing to consumers and households around the world. XYZprinting plans to release 4 to 5 new 3D printers this year, including resin-based SLA 3D printer. The company expects its annual sales to reach to 100,000 units by the end of the year.

I'm curious how much the da Vinci 1.0 AiO is going to be. If the price is right, I will definitely get one.
