MYBF (my best friend) is a 3D printed line of fashion jewelry designed by Orlando Fernandez Flores and his wife Lucia De Conti, owners of Italian design store, Maison 203.
MYBF line of jewelry interprets traditional shapes of jewelry: diamond ring becomes an elegant giant-size accessory, while necklace and bracelets are very flashy three-dimensional ornaments. It has simple design but with strong lines and bright fashionable colors.
"Thanks to MYBF, every woman will afford a diamond ring of her own", jokes around Orlando Fernandez Flores. The duo create MYBF through digital modeling and a 3D printer. The material used is nylon: extremely light yet very strong and flexible.
"We want to look forward" says Orlando Fernandez Flores, "We wish for this to be just the beginning of a larger MYBFcollection of accessories, that could develop into new families of pieces designed each year by different designers".

There is a new product called "Goldie Blox", an 'engineering kit' for girls 5-9. Most of the 'items' look like they could be made with a 3D printer. Wouldn't it be great to soon have a 3D printer available for kids to make their own objects?! The article is in the San Francisco Chronicle of Sunday, Feb 10, 2013.
