The 3D community is formed around Fused Deposition Modeling (FDM) type printers, but if makers need high resolution solutions, resin-based 3D printing is a better choice.

A new 3D printing option is 3DLPrinter, developed by Robot Factory in Italy. As a complement and extension of the 3D-ONE printer the 3DLPrinter is designed to meet the future demands for precision and miniaturization.

DLP (Digital Light Processing) is a 3D printing technique using light to solidify a liquid photopolymer. The projected image hardens a layer of resin at a time until the entire 3D model has been realized.

The 3DLPrinter has been engineered with a particularly stable, robust and compact structure. It features movable tray for shifting and tilting, removable pull-out piece, adjustable aluminated mirror in optical glass and removable basin of resin for quick cleaning.

Technical Specifications:

  • Overall dimensions: 440 x 380 x 570 mm (length, width, height)
  • Weight: approx. 40 Kg
  • Effective working dimensions: 102 x 78 x 160 mm (length, width, height)
  • Power supply: 230v 50Hz – 400 W approx (100 W + 300 W projector)
  • X – Y resolution: 0.1 mm ( 0,075 - 0,05 mm Software)
  • Z resolution: 0.01 mm
  • Input file format: STL

The following items are included in the 3DLPrinter:

  • Ultrasonic basin for cleaning of printed parts.
  • UV Oven for hardening the surface.
  • Pack of disposable vinyl gloves for the handling of the object.
  • Special pliers.
  • 500 cc of photosensitive resin
  • 500 cc of isopropyl alcohol for cleaning both the work piece and the tools.
  • etc.

Although the process can produce a wide variety of shapes, it is often expensive. In collaboration with companies in the chemical industry, Robot factory is developing different types of resin to meet the growing market demand.

The 3DLPrinter is made in Italy and Robot Factory is offering customers a special introductory pricing, 6,000 Euro including accessories.

i hope this is true the importing for me is to be 0.25 micron resolution i was using envision tech DLP in same company but the price was really expensive almost like 118000 $ is crazy

csc: Form1 is NOT a DLP printer. Take a closer look at their "printing" videos. You'll see a laser beam trace the parts. A DLP would show a solid image all the way across. John Biddleston: Huh? Sounds like you're astroturfing. You're comparing against the Form1 in the first half of your sentence, and saying this one is low cost? Form1 is about half the cost. And the Form1 has a much bigger build volume.

YI: Form 1 is a DLP printer.

This is nothing like Form 1 Looks very interesting, and low cost!!

Yes! We are building a printer that will cost 6000 euro.. Lets save two cents and use a two row LCD without back lightning instead of a nearly as cheap four row LCD WITH back lightning...

no, this is a DLP printer form1 is a SLA printer!..
