Always having trouble finding your keys? Belgian insurance company DVV and its agency Happiness Brussels will provide a new service for those who habitually lose their keys, with a specially developed process using 3D scanning and 3D printing.

The service is dubbed "Key Save" and will start in September. Customers can 3D scan their keys and save them on a secure server. So when they lose the key, they can simple access the server and download the 3D printable file of the key. Then they can send the file to a 3D printer or take it to a local 3D print shop and print a new one. DVV claims the service Will also save them money, because insurance companies lose money every year replacing locks whenever people are locked out.
