New full-color CubeJet 3D Printer for consumers
3D Systems announced today a preview of its new full-color CubeJet 3D printer. Priced under $5,000, the CubeJet desktop 3D printer uses its ColorJet Printing (CJP) technology to deliver full-color, high-resolution parts for a wide range of modeling and real-use products. The new CubeJet delivers full-color models from striking white to photo-realistic pastels and bold, vibrant color.
"Leapfrogging full-color printing to the prosumer and consumer desktop in a way that's easy to own and simple to operate redefines the 'possible' for designers, educators, architects, marketers and artists," said Rajeev Kulkarni, Vice President, General Manager, Consumer Products, 3DS.
CubeJet printers are expected be available during the second half of 2014.
Sub $10,000 CeraJet 3D Printer
3D Systems also introduces today its new CeraJet 3D printer, extending its 3D printing portfolio to the ancient artisanal craft of pottery and ceramics. This sub $10,000 CeraJet 3D Printer prints detailed ceramic objects using 3DS' Color-Jet-Printing (CJP) technology, that are ready for firing and glazing. With CeraJet 3D Printer, artists, designers, makers and consumers are able to make ceramics products with previously unimagined complex shapes.
The CeraJet printers are expected to commence commercial shipments during the second half of 2014.
